Service Description
This program is designed for dogs with behavioural issues such as fear, anxiety, and aggression. This program will help to address moderate to severe behavioural issues such as reactivity, fear, anxiety, separation anxiety, aggression, resource guarding etc. To sign-up for this program please fill out our registration form in order to set up a call to discuss further details, such as duration which will determine total cost. Required Tools (not included in price): -Crate - Herm Sprenger Prong collar -e-Collar + extensions from e-Collar Technologies -Martingale -6’ lead -Cot bed -20'-30' Long Lead What your dog will learn: -Crate Manners -Structured Heel Walk -Sit (Implied-stay) -Down (Implied-stay) -Place -Off-Leash Recall -Follow -Drop -Break -Socializing -Exposure -Impulse control (respecting thresholds, no barking, jumping, prey drive etc.) -How to channel a calm state of mind -How to cooperate while being handled (i.e. grooming, nail trims, etc.) -Overall, they will learn how to be relaxed and confident, that is accomplished by the dog knowing what is expected of them and how to make good choices. What will sessions look like? Owners, and anyone else who handles the dog, are REQUIRED to be present for ALL sessions. First session (2 hours): This session is done virtually or can be done in person. This session will focus on introducing the owners to the training and what their new lifestyle with their dog will look like. Second session (2-3 hours): This session will involve introducing the structured walk and will require hands-on practice. Therefore dress accordingly. Third session (2-3 hours): In this session you will learn all about how to do the drills. We will be practicing recall, place and a follow off-leash. Everything you will want/need in the real world. Fourth session (1.5-2 hours): This is the Graduation Hike and Go Home session. This session is where we get to give your dog the off-leash freedom they have earned and apply all that we have practiced on a hike. Fifth session (1 hour): This session is REQUIRED and is done 2-4 weeks post board & train. Now that you have been home and with your dog, this session is for follow-up and to provide any clarity needed. Included in this program is free once a month follow up sessions for the life of your dog. This is contingent on completing the fifth session AND maintaining your dogs training.
